Lymphedema Treatment
Lymphedema Treatment involves manual lymph drainage, compressive wrapping, therapeutic exercise and patient education is provided by a certified therapist, and can often reduce swelling caused by cancer treatment, chronic venous insufficiency, or genetic predisposition. The lymphatic system returns body fluids to the thoracic duct and then to the bloodstream, where it is recirculated back to the tissues. Tissues with lymphedema are at risk of infection.
